We are all searching for love, aren’t we? Whether you look for it in friendships or romantic relationships, everyone wants to be loved. Love shows acceptance just as you are. You don’t have to earn someone’s affection. Wouldn’t it be great to find perfect love? There is a way.
Ultimately, only God loves you no matter what. Even though God loves you, sin keeps you from Him. Sin is anything that goes against what God wants — actions, thoughts or anything else.
In the Bible, God tells us, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." God is perfect and holy, which means He and sin can not coexist. The Bible says "The payment for sin is death."
God doesn’t want to be separated from you. His love for us is so great that He provided a way for you to be in relationship with Him. He actually sent His son, Jesus, as a sacrifice for us, proving how much He loved us.
The Bible says, "God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, and whoever believes in Him won’t perish, but will live forever.”
But why was Jesus able to pay that price for us? Jesus lived a sinless life and then willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. In the Bible, God says this is how He "demonstrates His own love for us.” Even though we are sinners, Jesus Christ died for us.
That is not the end of the story! Jesus rose from the dead and now He lives in heaven with God His Father. He offers us the gift of eternal life — of living forever with Him in heaven if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. We don’t have to be perfect or work to earn this love. It is freely given to us by God!
Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Me."
God reaches out in love to you and wants you to be a part of His family. The Bible tells us “To all who did receive Him, who believed on His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” You can choose to ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins, save you and lead you.
If you do, you can talk to God by praying something like this:
"Lord Jesus, I believe you
are the Son of God. Thank you for dying
on the cross for my sins. Please forgive
my for my sins and give me the gift of
eternal life. I ask you into my life and
heart to be my Lord and Savior. I want to
serve you always."
